We walked in Parque Maria Luisa then out to Plaza Espana, which I suddenly remembered from my 1986 visit. 19th century, vast and fun
Next we walked along the river getting hotter and hotter so we crossed the river again to Triana for a beer.
Then we walked along to the Museo de Belles Artes. Free with an EU passport and worth the effort to see the work of Zubaran and his aides. It was after 7pm and a small group of under 5s are having a guided tour. In UK it would be bedtime!
We ate at Dos de Mayo in Plaza Gavidia, same menu and system as LA Bodega in Plaza Alfalfa, busy, lively and fun
I reflect on how I used to take my mum round Spanish towns and today my daughter is in charge of the routes and the map
Roles reversed in just a few months
