We started with our local beach, La Caleta
The sea was tranquil.
In the evening we watched the procession for La Virgen. She is the patron of Cadiz and set off at 6.30 from San Domingo with drums, nuns and local officials. This is a tradition dating back for centuries and enhanced by the protection the virgen gave to the citizens during the effects of the Lisbon earthquake of 1755.
We walked around the coast by the cathedral and museum.
Santander is occupying the cathedral.
We ended up at Manteca, in our barrio for delicious cold tapas.
